LCW Survival Project 2005 Pay-Per-View Results 09.25.05
LCW Survival Project 2005 (September 25, 2005) Pay-Per-View Results live from the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI.The Black Eyed Peas came into the ring and performed "Anxiety." During the performance they introduced LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway and he made his way to the ring as they continued to perform the song.
LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway came out and welcomed us to the biggest, most unpredictable event in the history of professional wrestling. He thanked Black Eyed Peas for their performanance and then announced that in addition to the other non-tournament matches announced throughout the month, there would also be a four way dance elimination tag team match featuring The Steiner Brothers, The Nasty Boys, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, and The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff and the winners would be the number one contenders for the LCW World Tag Team Championships. Calaway then went over the rules one more time for the Survival Project tournament. Calaway announced that he and LCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel and LCW Board of Directors Killer Kowalski, Verne Gagne, Mil Mascaras, and Bruno Sammartino would be backstage drawing legends names at random. Two legends would be drawn first and they would wrestle each other in a one on one match until there is a winner. The winner would go on to face the legend that is drawn third and if he can defeat that man he would go on to face the legend that is drawn fourth and so forth and so on until all fifty legends’ names had been announced. The matches can be won by pinfall, submission, disqualification, countout, or by throwing an opponent over the top rope. The man with the most eliminations would be the number one contender for the LCW International Championship and the man who is left standing in the ring at the end of the night would be the number one contender for the LCW Universal Championship. Meaning, even if the man who is drawn number one could defeat all 48 of his opponents, he could still be defeated by number 50 and lose a shot at the most prestigious championship in the wrestling industry: the LCW Universal Championship. As Calaway said, “The luck of the draw has never been more important.” With that, Calaway wish the legends good luck and left the ring.
Lance Russell and Jerry Lawler welcomed us to the show and announced that after ever tenth man has entered the ring and wrestled one match, there would be a break in the tournament to allow for one of the other non-tournament matches on the card. With that, Russell said, “Let’s go to the ring as the Survival Project tournament is ready to begin.”
