LCW SuperClash 2005 Pay-Per-View Results 07.03.05

SuperClash 2005 (July 3, 2005) live from SkyDome in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The show opened with LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway in the ring. Calaway introduced the LCW announce team, Anthony "Arez" Alvarez and Jesse "The Body" Ventura. As Alvarez and Ventura went to ringside, Calaway introduced LCW Commissioner Bruno Sammartino. Sammartino thanked everyone for being there tonight and announced the rebirth of traditional professional wrestling.

The Rock 'n' Roll Express defeated Ivan and Nikita Koloff in 8:32 by pinfall when Robert Gibson pinned Nikita Koloff after a flying bodypress in a no countout, no disqualification, number one contenders match to determine the number one contenders for the LCW World Tag Team Championships at LCW Beach Brawl.

Ted DiBiase (with Virgil) defeated Rick Martel, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Jake Roberts in 10:48 in a four way dance elimination match to determine the number one contender for the LCW International Championship at Beach Brawl.
Order of Elimination:
- Rick Martel was eliminated by Jake Roberts at 4:49 by pinfall after the DDT after Rowdy Roddy Piper knocked Martel out with the sleeperhold.
- Rowdy Roddy Piper was eliminated by Ted DiBiase at 7:57 by pinfall after a neckbreaker after Virgil tripped and distrated him from ringside. During the pinfall, Roberts went outside the ring and hit Virgil with a DDT on the floor. Virgil had to be taken away from ringside by medics.
- Jake Roberts was eliminated by Ted DiBiase at 10:48 by knockout with the Million Dollar Dream sleeperhold.

Sting defeated Abdullah The Butcher in 8:33 by submission with the Scorpion Death Lock in a number one contenders match to determine the number one contender for the LCW United States Championship at LCW Beach Brawl.

LCW International Champion Bret Hart defeated Greg Valentine (with Jimmy Hart) in 6:56 by submission with the Sharpshooter in a submission match. After the match, Ted DiBiase attacked Bret Hart until The British Bulldogs came out and saved Bret Hart. LCW Commissioner Bruno Sammartino then came out and announced that as a result of the attack, Ted DiBiase had last his status as the number one contender for the LCW International Championship. He also announced that at next month's Beach Brawl pay-per-view, The British Bulldogs would team with LCW International Champion Bret Hart to face Ted DiBiase and two partners of his choosing. However, Sammartino added that if DiBiase could score the pinfall on any one of this opponents he would become the number one contender for the LCW International Champion, but if any one of his partners pinned any one of their opponents they would become the number one contender for the LCW International Championship at LCW's Caged Heat pay-per-view in August.

In the back, Ravishing Rick Rude and Curt Hennig were arguing over who should have Bobby Heenan in their corner for their upcoming three way dance against The Ultimate Warrior for the LCW United States Championship. Bobby Heenan walked up to them and they both tried to convince him that he should be in their respective corner. Just as Heenan was about to decide which man's corner he was going to be in, LCW Commissioner Bruno Sammartino walked by and said, "I think I can help make that decision a little easier. You're not going to be in either man's corner because tonight, Bobby Heenan, you're banned from ringside!" Heenan was in shock as Hennig and Rude yelled at Sammartino as he walked away about how unfair and wrong his decision was.

Ravishing Rick Rude defeated LCW United States Champion The Ultimate Warrior and Curt Hennig in 12:09 in a three way dance elimination match to win the LCW United States Championship.
Order of Elimination:
- The Ultimate Warrior was eliminated by Curt Hennig at 5:32 by pinfall after the Warrior Press and Slam followed by the Warrior Splash.
- Ravishing Rick Rude eliminated The Ultimate Warrior at 12:09 by pinfall after the Rude Awakening after Hennig returned to the ring and hit Warrior with a steel chair while he was outside the ring.

In the back, The Ultimate Warrior confronted LCW Commissioner Bruno Sammartino and demanded to be the number one contender for the LCW United States Championship at next month's Beach Brawl pay-per-view, but Sammartino said it was out of his hands and that Sting was the number one contender as a result of his victory over Abdullah The Butcher earlier in the night, but Sammartino told Warrior he would talk to Sting and see what he could do. Warrior reminded Sammartino that he had a return clause in his contract as he walked away. Sammartino said to himself, "I didn't even think he could read."

The Nasty Boys (with Jimmy Hart) defeated LCW World Tag Team Champions The Road Warriors (with Paul Ellering) in 15:43 in a Chicago street fight match by pinfall when Jerry Sags pinned Road Warrior Animal after Brian Knobbs hit Animal with Jimmy Hart's megaphone to win the LCW World Tag Team Championships. After the match, The Road Warriors hit Jimmy Hart with the Doomsday Device.

In the back, Paul Orndorff attacked Ricky Steamboat from behind taking him out of the triple threat match for the LCW Universal Championship.

Andre The Giant, One Man Gang, and King Kong Bundy (with Bobby Heenan) defeated Bam Bam Bigelow, Tito Santana, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan in 12:14 in a six-man tag team elimination match.
Order of Elimination:
- Tito Santana was eliminated by King Kong Bundy at 2:12 by pinfall after the Avalanche followed by a Splash.
- Andre The Giant was eliminated by countout at 4:15 after Hacksaw Jim Duggan hit him with the Three-Point Stance Clothesline and knocked him out of the ring.
- Hacksaw Jim Duggan was eliminated by One Man Gang at 6:54 by pinfall after the 757 Splash.
- Bam Bam Bigelow was eliminated by One Man Gang after the Avalanche from Bundy and then the 757 Splash from Gang.

In the back, LCW Commissioner Bruno Sammartino approached Sting and suggest making the LCW United States Championship match between he and LCW United States Champion Ravishing Rick Rude a three way dance at Beach Brawl and including The Ultimate Warrior in the match. Sting was initally reluctant, but Sammartino told Sting that as a result of the rematch clause in his contract, The Ultimate Warrior could cause trouble if he wanted to by making Sammartino put him in the match. Sting reluctantly agreed saying, "Give Warrior what he wants, but tell him that title is going to be mine and he better stay out of my way because I'll take him out to get to it if I have to."

In the back, Ted DiBiase approached King Kong Bundy and One Man Gang and asked Bundy and Gang to be his partners at Beach Brawl in his match against LCW International Champion Bret Hart and The British Bulldogs. DiBiase explained that LCW Commissioner Bruno Sammartino had made the decision that if Bundy or Gang pinned any one of their opponents they would become the number one contender for the LCW International Championship. DiBiase then said he didn't want that to happen and he wanted to be the number one contender and he gave Bundy and Gang some money and said, "You know what I'm saying, boys?" Bundy and Gang agreed and DiBiase walked away as Bundy and Gang counted their money.

In the back, Dusty Rhodes was talking to LCW Commissioner Bruno Sammartino when Harley Race attacked Dusty Rhodes and busted him wide open with brass knuckles. As Race was taken away by LCW officials, Sammartino announced that Race was going to face Rhodes at Beach Brawl in a first blood match. As security took Race away, he yelled at Rhodes, "The sand at Beach Brawl is going to be red with your blood, Rhodes. I'm going to make you bleed."

Rocky Johnson, Tony Atlas, Davey Boy Smith, and The Dynamite Kid defeated Terry Funk, Dory Funk, Jr., (with Jimmy Hart), The Iron Sheik, and Nikolai Volkoff (with "Classie" Freddie Blassie) in 16:34 in an eight-man tag team multiple elimination match. Tony Atlas and Rocky Johnson were the survivors.
Order of Elimination:
- Dory Funk, Jr., was eliminated by Davey Boy Smith at 5:15 by pinfall after the running powerslam.
- Terry Funk was eliminated by Davey Boy Smith at 5:21 by pinfall after a flying headbutt from Dynamite Kid.
- Davey Boy Smith was eliminated by The Iron Sheik at 8:48 by submission with the Camel Clutch.
- The Iron Sheik was eliminated by Dynamite Kid at 12:07 by pinfall after the flying headbutt.
- The Dynamite Kid was eliminated by Nikolai Volkoff at 14:01 by pinfall after a flying kneedrop.
- Nikolai Volkoff was eliminated by Tony Atlas at 16:34 by pinfall after a military press slam.

In the back, as Bob Backlund was doing pushups with Arnold Skaaland coaching him, Superstar Billy Graham attacked Backlund from behind hitting him with a steel chair and then knocking out Skaaland with the steel chair as well. Graham continued assaulting Backlund with the steel chair until LCW Commissioner Bruno Sammartino and LCW officials pulled him away from Backlund. Sammartino told Graham that he would face Backlund in a steel chair ladder match at Beach Brawl. A steel chair would be hanging from the rafters and one of the winner would be the man who climbed the ladder and used the steel chair as a weapon.

Before the main event, LCW Commissioner Bruno Sammartino came out and introduced the man who would replace the injured Ricky Steamboat in the main event: Hulk Hogan!

Hulk Hogan defeated LCW Universal Champion Randy Savage and Paul Orndorff (with Bobby Heenan) in 14:15 in a triple threat match by pinfall when he pinned Orndorff after the legdrop to win the LCW Universal Championship.
