LCW Ascension 2007 Pay-Per-View Results 01.21.07

LCW Ascension 2007 Pay-Per-View Results (January 21, 2007) live from the Kemper Arena in Kansas City, MO.

Tonight's LCW Ascension pay-per-view is dedicated in loving memory to Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow (1961-2007).

The show opened with a spotlight on a chair in the center of the ring with Bam Bam Bigelow's wrestling attire draped over the chair and his wrestling boots in front of the chair as the crowd chanted, "Bam! Bam!" The arena lights came back on and legends came out with Bam Bam Bigelow shirts on and surrounded the chair in the ring and lined the entrance way. LCW Chairman of the Board Christian Calaway came out with a Bigelow shirt on under his sports coat and the LCW Television Championship in his arms and joined the wrestlers in the ring. Calaway was visibly emotionally distraught and took a few minutes to compose himself as the crowd chanted, "Bam Bam! Bam Bam!" Calaway said, "When I formed Legends Championship Wrestling, Bam Bam Bigelow was the first name on the list. Bam Bam Bigelow was the reason I started Legends Championship Wrestling. I wanted to honor the men who made me fall in love with this business and Bam Bam Bigelow was one of those men. He will be missed and will never be forgotten." The crowd chanted, "Bam Bam! Bam Bam!" Calaway continued, "With that said, Bam Bam Bigelow was the LCW Television Champion and as far as I'm concerned he will always be the LCW Television Championship and this belt belongs to him. This version of the LCW Television Championship will be retired in his honor." Calaway placed the old LCW Television Championship on the chair with Bigelow's wrestling attire. Calaway continued, "In its place will be this…" Calaway pointed to the ceiling and a title belt came down from the rafters. Calaway unhooked the title and said, "Tonight, Butch Reed will wrestle an unknown opponent for this (referring to the title), the new LCW Television Championship…in a ladder match!" Calaway reattached the title belt and it was elevated back to the rafters. Calaway continued, "But let's not forget why we're really here tonight. Every man in this ring wants to honor Bam Bam Bigelow by doing what he did best and that's entertaining each and every single one of you (pointing to the crowd). I want to thank everyone for joining us tonight and please enjoy the show."
